the spring-summer season has officially started in Milan, just in time for the Design Week!
Here is my personal take on the top 10 trends that are currently going strong both on social media and in the real world!
1. Pastels: this comes to us with no surprise, because spring and summer are usually associated with pastels, but this season one colour in particular seemed to have conquered the runways: lilac. 1. 2. Suits & Co-ords: They have been in fashion for a while now, but they have now taken the ultime "office" look to the next level. They can be dressed down with a pair of sneakers or with a simple t-shirt underneath to achieve a more casual look. To be honest the vibe they give in general is SOSOCHIC! 3. Thin Sunglasses: the great thing is that this shape will suit pretty much everyone. The real question is: can you pull them off? Luckily you can find these type of sunglasses everywhere on the high street, you could invest in a cheap pair to create some cool pics and moodboards and see if they suit your style! 1. Zara 2. 3. 4. The Raffia - Straw bag: you will have seen them everywhere, in any shape or form, especially bucket bags. They are definitely the embodiment of summer! Perfect to carry around all your necessities for the beach, but why not be a bit bold and use them around the city as well? The neutral color of the straw is great with every outfit! 1. LOEWE 2. 5. Chunky Sneakers: long gone are the days where Converse were the ultimate spring-summer sneakers! I am kidding, I still like them better than any other sneaker, but, it is a fact, that chunky sneakers have conquered even the more reluctant ones! 6. Loud Logos: your basic tees and much more are now printed with your favourite logos! From Balmain, to YSL, to Versace, to Gucci. 7. Sequins & Glitter: what's not to love about this trend? Summer season is usually wedding/party season in general and now you have an excuse to wear those stunning cinderella shoes that you have been hiding in the back of your closet & the mermaid dress of your dreams! 1. 9. Trench Coat – such a classic! It will never go out of style, plus that Sherlock look will upgrade any outfit. 10. Belt Bags / Fanny Pack: let's be hones... this trend can be really useful! Sometimes it gets annoying to carry around a bag, especially if you are like me and you bring with you half of you house!
